13 April 2026, Monday 13:40
TAYSAD, in cooperation with TUSAŞ, organized the “Supplier Day” event aimed at strengthening interaction between the automotive sector and the defense industry and increasing new collaboration opportunities.

The event was designed to enhance cross-sector knowledge sharing, support the integration of the automotive supply industry into the defense and aerospace ecosystem, and expand the transfer of domestic production capabilities into different industrial fields.

The program began with the opening speech of Atacan Güner. In his remarks, he emphasized the strategic importance of intersectoral cooperation and highlighted the potential contributions of the automotive supply industry’s competencies to defense industry projects.

Within the scope of the event, presentations delivered by Ahmet Furkan Öney and Enis Altay Demirbaş addressed the organization’s industrialization strategies, localization approach, and future objectives. The presentations also covered efforts to strengthen the supply chain structure and expand the domestic supplier network.

A total of 170 industry representatives attended the event.

In the second part of the program, face-to-face B2B meetings were held between 70 TAYSAD member companies selected by TUSAŞ. During these meetings, the production capabilities, engineering competencies, and quality standards of automotive supply industry companies were evaluated for potential integration into defense industry projects.

The B2B sessions enabled significant discussions on developing new cooperation models, diversifying the supply chain, and making more efficient use of domestic production capacity.

TAYSAD continues its efforts to strengthen intersectoral cooperation, support its members’ access to new markets, and enhance value-added production within Türkiye’s industrial ecosystem.
