The Automotive Suppliers Association of Türkiye (TAYSAD) and the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association (OİB) hosted the Schaeffler Purchasing Delegation, one of the key players in the global automotive supply chain. The program aimed to strengthen the Turkish automotive supplier industry’s position in international markets and highlight new commercial cooperation opportunities.

Throughout the program, the engagements underscored the Automotive Suppliers Association of Türkiye’s coordinating role within the industry while laying the groundwork for long-term strategic collaborations with Schaeffler. Organized jointly by TAYSAD and OİB, the event contributed significantly to showcasing Türkiye’s production capacity, engineering capabilities, and competitiveness in the global supply chain.

“These Meetings Hold Great Strategic Importance”
During the B2B meetings held at the TAYSAD and OİB headquarters, representatives from 27 member companies of the Automotive Suppliers Association of Türkiye met directly with Schaeffler officials to present their production capabilities. These meetings played a vital role in fostering new business partnerships between Turkish automotive suppliers and global brands.

On the first day of the program, the Schaeffler delegation visited TAYSAD’s headquarters to gain a closer understanding of Türkiye’s automotive supplier landscape. During the visit, TAYSAD Chairman Yakup Birinci delivered a comprehensive presentation on the industry’s competitiveness, engineering expertise, R&D strength, and investment potential.

Yakup Birinci emphasized the strengthening global position of the Turkish supplier industry and stated:
“Engaging with a globally prominent player such as Schaeffler once again demonstrates the strong position of Türkiye’s supplier industry in international markets. As the Automotive Suppliers Association of Türkiye, with more than 540 members, we not only manufacture high-quality components but also export our know-how and innovation strength. This supplier day provided an extremely valuable platform that opened the door to new business collaborations.”

The event concluded with bilateral business meetings between TAYSAD member companies and the Schaeffler delegation, during which potential partnerships were evaluated. These engagements are expected to further strengthen Türkiye’s position within the global automotive supply chain.

Second Day Hosted at the OİB Headquarters
The second day of the program continued at the OİB headquarters, where further meetings reinforced the foundation for long-term strategic cooperation between OİB and Schaeffler while showcasing Türkiye’s strong performance in automotive exports.

OİB Chairman Baran Çelik underlined the significance of the program for the industry and noted:
“Our main objective with this purchasing delegation is to bring together Türkiye’s exporters operating in the OEM and aftermarket segments with the globally leading automotive group Schaeffler. Such engagements enhance the visibility of our suppliers in global markets and further strengthen our export capacity.”
