24 March 2025, Monday 10:27
Yakup Birinci is the new President of TAYSAD! TAYSAD Will Build the New Era on Agility, Resilience and Competitiveness!

The 46th Ordinary General Assembly meeting of the Automotive Supply Manufacturers Association, the umbrella organization of the Turkish automotive supply industry, was held. The association's new management and audit board were determined at the meeting, while Yakup Birinci became the new president of TAYSAD. Speaking at the General Assembly, TAYSAD’s new Board Chairman Yakup Birinci said, “Like every new management, we also determined a slogan to express the actions we planned and named it TAYSAD 5.0. In 2011, with the introduction of the concept of Industry 4.0 into our lives, we were introduced to a new definition: dark factories. So what were these dark factories? Facilities with production structures that were completely autonomous, digital, able to communicate with each other and based on automation, where there were no humans. So what happened? In all surveys conducted until 2 years ago, the primary topic of our sector stakeholders was focusing on finding employees and retaining talent. In line with this focus, we determined our slogan as TAYSAD 5.0 to also express transformation. While keeping TAYSAD 5.0 alive, we will focus all our activities and business plans within the framework of 3 main guidelines: agility, resilience and competitiveness’’

Mobilization begins to reduce logistics costs!

Speaking at the opening of the general assembly, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye Zekeriya Çoştu said , “The Turkish automotive supply industry is one of the sectors where Türkiye’s innovation and production capabilities and capacity are clearly demonstrated. With its qualified production competence, agility, innovation, and being a strong and reliable part of global value chains, it constitutes one of the clearest signs that Türkiye is a strong industrial country. In the new incentive system that we will implement and announce in the coming weeks, we will provide much more effective incentive elements for the benefit of our sector and bring these elements together with our industrialists and investors. On the other hand, of course, it is not possible for us to achieve our competitiveness with investment incentives alone. On the other hand, we are also launching a full-scale mobilization as a ministry regarding the reduction of logistics costs. We are continuing our work for this. We will implement a model. We will be implementing an important program, especially in terms of developing rail system transportation alternatives, in a way that will ensure the green transformation of our industry and compliance with carbon regulations at the border.” Albert Saydam , who handed over the duty of TAYSAD's Board of Directors Chairman, said , "We have come to this point today with what we have done up until now. It is time for change and transformation. We can only re-establish competition in our country if we do this transformation together. TAYSAD's power stems from the solidarity of its members and their open perspective to change. I believe that we will carry this sector to a better level and a higher level together, just as we do today. TAYSAD has a great responsibility."

Our slogan for the new era is TAYSAD 5.0!

new Chairman of the Association, Yakup Birinci , made the following assessment for the new term: “An old African proverb says; if you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together. When we look at today’s conditions, we see that this expression needs a correction. Because how Europe, which acts together with the goal of going far and tries to keep this on its feet with laws and various regulations, has difficulty in acting, and on the other hand, how successful the countries that are motivated to go fast and alone are are, are debatable today. Then, this is the era of those who manage to go together and fast. As you know, in every period, the teams that aspire to management determine a slogan to express what they want to do and the actions they plan if they take office. We decided to carry out the work we will do in this new term under the slogan TAYSAD 5.0. So why 5.0? With the introduction of the concept of Industry 4.0 in 2011, we were introduced to a new definition: dark factories. So what were these dark factories? Facilities with production structures that are completely autonomous, digital, intercommunicative and automated, where there is no human presence. In fact, Germany, which was the originator of this, promised that its brands would relocate their production facilities to Europe. We all created maps for our companies and made preparations and took positions in our own institutions as a witness to this fourth industrial revolution. What happened in the later stages of the process? Until 2 years ago, the primary topic of our sector stakeholders in surveys focused on finding employees and retaining talent. Perhaps Industry 4.0 was a transfer and preparation process for its successor, 5.0. Human-focused, resilient, resilience and of course sustainability. In line with this focus, we determined our slogan as TAYSAD 5.0 to also express the transformation. While keeping TAYSAD 5.0 alive, we will focus all our activities and business plans within the framework of 3 main guidelines: agility, resilience and competitiveness”
